From Lighthouse Towers to Corporate Boardrooms…
I was always fascinated by the way Lighthouses acted as beacons of hope, guiding weary, lost seafarers to safety. Realizing that we as human beings also operate in an uncertain, volatile world, and that we too require hope and guidance from those we trust, inspired me to help leaders develop into beacons of hope and direction for those that follow them.
My official career started as a Training officer for the Lighthouse Services division in the South African Maritime industry. During my time at this company I had the opportunity to work with all the Lighthouse keepers and support staff member around the South African coastline, developing leaders at different levels within the organization. After more than 20 years in Leadership and Culture development, I still find it very rewarding when I can assist leaders to become “Lighthouses” for their own teams and their organizations.
What I bring to organizations:
* Highly skilled ability to really ‘listen’ to the heartbeat, the people, of an organization to analyze and diagnose their specific needs and then designing solutions that are relevant and contextually specific to that organization.
* Extensive experience in working with organizations from various industries, including Maritime, Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, Information Technology, International Sourcing, Wine & Hospitality, Health, Fintech, FMCG and Property Management, enabling me to conceptualize, design and implement integrated organizational development interventions.
* Well-rounded facilitation skills gained over more than 20 years of successfully facilitating Leadership development, Team development, Organizational Culture and Organizational Design programs and workshops, helping to build bridges between the As-Is and To-Be state of people development within organizations.
